About this Event
In October 2004, Ten Thousand Villages of Ann Arbor opened its doors on Main Street, becoming the first fair trade, non-profit handicraft retail store in the city. Thanks to you (our supporters, friends, volunteers, donors, and loyal customers), we have enjoyed an incredible two decades serving the Ann Arbor community in support of the Fair Trade principles: protecting the dignity and ensuring living wages of artisans across the globe. In recognition of 20 years as part of the Ann Arbor community, we invite you to join us for an in-store celebration on Sunday, October 13. Let's gather to reflect upon the past 20 years of impact, and commit to continued excellence in the next 20!
Tickets for this event are available for purchase in advance and may not be available at the door due to limited space. In order to endow the future of our mission-oriented store, we also welcome you to . Your contributions will help to continue building livelihoods for more than 20,000 artisans in underserved nations as they work hard to uplift their families and communities.
So come one, come all, and join us for an open-house style gathering featuring guest speakers, artisan & product highlights, promotional sales and discounts, raffles, and light refreshments (hors d'oeuvres and drinks). All ages are welcomed, and we encourage you to join us anytime between 5PM and 8PM on Sunday evening! Dress casual and come as you are.
