About this Event
Phambassadors aren’t just participants in a program—they’re part of a bold movement harnessing the pride, passion, and influence of Philadelphia-area residents to shape how the world sees our city. Every engagement, every story shared, every event attended helps rewrite the narrative and showcase the Philly we know and love—its grit, energy, and unmatched spirit.
As Philadelphia prepares for a massive influx of local, national, and international visitors to celebrate America’s 250th birthday in 2026, the Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation (PVCC) launched a new initiative, the Phambassador program, that seeks to organize and leverage the most powerful, authentic, and untapped marketing tool the city has at its disposal: Philadelphians themselves.
Launched in April 2025 by the PVCC, Phambassadors is a civic pride initiative designed to rally more than 10,000 people over two years to proudly share Philadelphia’s story with the world. Open to anyone who loves Philly—whether they live here, work here, or just believe in what the city stands for — Phambassadors pledge to show up for Philadelphia by connecting others to its authentic people, places, and experiences. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, Phambassadors will help shape how the world sees and remembers Philly—building a legacy of pride, connection, and community that lasts well beyond the celebration.
Join us as takeover room 200C of the Howard Gittis Student Center on Tuesday, March 10th where you can learn more, deepen your connections to Philadelphia, as well as represent this city in 2026 and beyond.
