Temple Bar to Temple Bar

This 2 hour walk will start at Temple Bar Monument and take walkers on a journey down Fleet Street ending up at Temple Bar itself.
About this Event

This journey, led by London City Mouse Tours, will cover the history of ‘The Street of Shame’, and the development of the newspaper and publishing industry, notable historical characters such as Dr Johnson and Wynkyn de Worde, the street’s pubs and little known and quirky facts as we journey to Temple Bar. On the conclusion of the journey customers will get a chance to see inside the last surviving original gateway into the City of London.
