Hey, champ! Thanks for checking out Telltale. We are a monthly curated storytelling event for people that like to get vulnerable and take no shit. We are keen on connection, laughter, heartbreak, poignant moments, and community building.We are now in our 8th season!
At Telltale, you can expect about 8 performers telling you a story, via a mix of comedy, speeches, music, essays, and more. Your evening will likely include honesty, curse words, enthusiasm, dark humor, connection....and sometimes something unexpected. So please come and remind yourself that the world is bigger than we think it is, and that you're never alone. We are excited to share stories of folks like you, and not like you, but are always rooted in community, connection, fighting the good fight, and moving forwards together.
(Psssssst: There will also be a very good raffle.)
This month's theme is "OOOOOOOO, Big Stretch!" and will focus on celebrating the puppies (all dogs are puppies) in our lives... and the performers will HAVE THEIR DOGS ON STAGE WITH THEM, so it might be chaos. This might be a terrible idea! But it'll be the cutest bad idea we've tried yet!
Please bring your dog to the show--IF they are down to be around a bunch of other dogs, and must be on a leash at all times. Any human that's ruining it for the rest of us by not paying attention will be asked to leave.
But this show is going to be SPECIAL. For a regular priced ticket, you can just come in and enjoy the show.
BUT, for a limited VIP ticket, you will get:
a ticket to the show
a portrait taken of either you and your dog or just your dog
limited edition merch for you
limited edition merch for your dog
and puppy treats from local spots!
All of these items will be available individually as well, but this will get you a price break on them, and will guarantee your spot in line for photos.
Tickets:
VIP tickets are $55
Regular tickets are $15 in advance, and $17 day of show.
There are also a handful of "oops, I'm between paychecks" tickets available for whatever donation you decide to give. If you don't have the cash, hell with it, just come anyway. Nobody is turned away for lack of funds. Capitalism is garbage and we want you there regardless of money.
Raffle Money will go towards keeping the show alive--buying merch, buying raffle prizes from local companies, paying for the website, etc.
The space: This show will be OUTDOORS at a beer bar. Bathroom is genderless. It's across the street from a great foodcart pod and y'all are welcome to snag whatever you want and bring it over. Feel free to bring your own chairs to be cozier too.
Also, we have no room for any oppressive garbage. Don't even try, pal.
I think that covers it. I'll see you there. I think you’re very cool and the event will be better with you there. I miss your damn face. This community is better with you being part of it.
