Tellico Plains Kiwanis will host the Town of Tellico Plains Christmas Parade Saturday, December 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM (rain date Sunday, December 21). Cookies 'n Claus will have 5 hospitality stations (Volunteer Federal Parking, at Visitors Center, Chs Hall Museum, Cherohala Skyway at Babcock Street, Town Square). Starting at 2:00 PM each station will be serving FREE delicious cookies by Tellicafe along with coffee, hot chocolate or cider. Kids be sure to visit Santa at the front entrance of the Visitors Center for a great photo opportunity. Call for entry to win prizes: Floats 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100; Best decorated horse for the Charles Hall Award $100; 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25. An entry form (no entry fee) must be billed out to compete in judging for prizes. Judging starts at 2:00 PM. Line-up starts at 1:00 PM (all details are on the entry form0> Entry forms are available at Tellico Plains City Hall and Facebook at Tellico Plains Kiwanis. Parade route starting at Veterans Memorial Drive (at the Gazebo) and proceeds thru town, right on Babcock Street, left on Cherohala Skyway, right on Bank Street and ending at the Community Center.
