Tell Her Story: Women of Color and Breast Cancer

TELL HER STORY (THS) is a multidisciplinary arts and health equity initiative that documents and interprets the lived experiences, cultural legacies, challenges, and resilience of women of color impacted by breast cancer. Through this project, each survivor or thriver is intentionally paired with a local female artist of color, who will translate the participant’s narrative into an original work within her artistic discipline. The initiative culminates in a public presentation featuring the collaborative artworks, community-based workshops, and a panel discussion moderated by award winning journalist Gloria Campos focused on breast cancer awareness and health equity.
