Teeth Creation Class

Learning from 30 plus year film and television veteran Lee Joyner, you will create film-quality fangs, veneers and teeth with gum. Learn how to create and finish professional teeth for special makeup effects purposes utilizing impressions, sculpture, molding, casting and finish work. Gain an understanding of various teeth making material types, how to use them and how they interact with each other. Learn dental vacuum forming while getting familiar with a dental articulator. Learn about plumpers and other miscellaneous dental modifications as well.

Topics covered include:

• Understand the fundamentals of creating teeth for special makeup purposes
• Learn how different clays and waxes work to achieve optimal sculpting results.
• Learn about plumpers and variant dental modifications
• Demonstrate knowledge of various teeth making materials and how they interact with one another in design choices:
• Cold Cure monomer and polymer
• Flexacryl variations and uses
• Variety of bridge shapes used to avoid speech affectation
• Color matching, teeth stain and polish techniques
• Demonstrate knowledge of industry materials and terminology
• Demonstrate knowledge of vacuum forming, pressure casting and proper use of dental articulator

LAB FEE ($200.00 non-refundable)

LMA will be providing all lab material needed in the classroom (covered by the lab fee), but you will be responsible for bringing your sculpting tools. We will send you a materials list for items needed outside of the lab materials. Students receive a student discount at Frends Beauty on the items that they might need.

PARKING

Parking is provided at the location.

We do recommend Uber/Lyft or being dropped off if you can arrange it.

HEALTH

Staff, instructors and models are fully vaccinated. The classroom will be setup with current industry standards in regards to hygiene and Covid protocols.
