TEESNet 2024: Education for Repair & Realising Alternative Futures Together

Increasingly complex and interconnected global and local challenges require education which can respond to deep interdependencies. Alongside calls for greater ecological consciousness, there is growing recognition of the need to focus more intentionally on justice in responding to the needs of all people and the planet. This is reflected in increased attention to connections across people, place and time, and the impacts of historical and contemporary industrial, economic, social and political processes on ecosystems and people.

Inspired by UNESCO’s International Commission on the Futures of Education and the new Recommendation on Education for Peace, Human Rights and Sustainable Development2, the 14th TEESNet conference seeks to explore what is required from teacher education to ‘motivate educators to commit to the principles underpinning a culture of democracy, peace, human rights, sustainability and global citizenship’ and promote social, economic and ecological justice.

TEESNet deliberately cuts across sectors, including educators and students in universities, schools, and NGOs/CSOs, as well as researchers, policy makers, and those engaged in all forms of education.

Our Cancellation and Refund Policy is as follows

• Please send cancellation details to the event organiser by email or by telephone as soon as possible.
• Please inform the event organiser if you wish to send a replacement delegate, including their requirements (e.g. diet, access etc), so we can ensure that we offer them the best possible service at the event.
• If you notify us of your cancellation up to four weeks prior to the event, we will provide a full refund minus Eventbrite fee which is non-refundable. Last date for full refund (ex. Eventbrite fee) this year is 04.11.24.
• If you notify us of your cancellation up two weeks before the event, we will be able to give you a 75% refund minus Eventbrite fee which is non-refundable. Last date for 75% refund (excl. Eventbrite fee) this year is 18.11.24.
• If you notify us after the above deadlines, then the full cost will be payable regardless of circumstances. You will not receive a refund if you cancel your ticket on or after 18.11.24.
• Where you have booked a place at an event and do not attend the full fee will be payable.
