Teepa Snow: Navigating the Journey of Dementia

Join the Alzheimer's Group of Carroll County in welcoming Teepa Snow and her event: Nagiviating the Journey of Dementia. This is the ONLY LIVE seminar Teepa is having in Georgia. The event is Tuesday, October 5 at Villa Rica First Baptist Church. Doors open at 8:00 for registration and check-in. The event will be held from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Lunch will be included with the $10 admission ticket.

Do you know someone with dementia? Are you caring for someone with dementia? Have you been diagnozed with dementia? How about are you a student studying healthcare or psychology? Do you work in healthcare? Maybe you are just interested in learning more about dementia, just in case you might experience someowho has it. Dementia is the umbrella term for memory loss, language and problem solving difficulties that interfere with day to day life. Alzheimer's is one of the diagnosis under the dementia umbrella. This disease has quickly reached the number 6 leading cause of death in America. This event not only teaches skills, it raises awareness for different dementia related diseases.

Teepa's expertise can help provide skills for anyone who may come in contact with someone with dementia. From how to talk to them, hold their hand, bath time, to even the difficult sundowing days. She is able to walk and talk with audiences alike to discuss different avenues it might take to care for a loved one and yourself.
