Teen Trend Townhall
About this Event
Teen Trend Townhall
Event Highlights:
You’re tired of negative headlines about teens instead of highlighting some of the good things that we are building. You’ve felt the weight of losing friends to summer violence. You’ve sat in rooms where adults decide your future without asking what you actually need. And you’re done waiting for someone else to fix it.
Join us for the Teen Trend Town Hall, a space made by young people, for young people. Sit down with the Mayor Brandon Johnson’s Team, youth employers, and city programs to shape what teen life in Chicago actually looks like next.
This is your chance to speak honestly about why teen trends happen, how political systems impact young people and how civic power can change that. Learn how organizing turns frustration into real change for your present and your future.
We’ll honor the teens we’ve lost to summer violence with a Wall of Remembrance, with performances by Zion Ali and teen poets sharing their truth.
Connect with vendors offering summer jobs, resources, and opportunities. Get trained in Stop the Bleed. Eat good food. Be in community.
This event is teen and young adult centered. All are welcomed | CTU Headquarters | 🗓️ June 25
