Teen Improv Troupe Launch: Afternoon Session

Ages 13 to 19

August 12 - 15, 1 pm to 4 pm

Excused Absence has a long history of establishing youth Improv troupes who master specific performance skills and formats culminating in live shows at ColdTowne and beyond. Every troupe is unique and built around its members's skills and ideas under the direction of a coach or director, some remain together for a single semester while others work together for years. Students who participate in this camp will work on Improv skills designed to prepare them to perform under the direction of a coach during the Fall semester. Though students are not required to attend camp to be in a troupe, it is an opportunity for us to get to know them and to create the best possible combination of performers. There is a morning and an afternoon session, this is the afternoon session. Though students are welcome to register both, the content is pretty similar. In some cases, we may ask that these campers also attend auditions in September to allow us to make the best possible groups.
