Are you a teenager who likes to write? Or do you know a budding writer who might benefit from a creative boost? In this one-day workshop for teens between the ages of 12 and 15, we'll be experimenting with words, playing with fun writing prompts, and learning about writing techniques along the way.For more information and to register, go to: https://tiwc.eu/teen23
This workshop is taught by Jennifer Gryzenhout. Jennifer is a writer of fiction and creative nonfiction from Calgary, Canada. She teaches English literature at the International School of Amsterdam and creative writing with the Collective. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. She has short stories published in Ink Tears and The Avalon Literary Review, and is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize nomination.
We are proud to offer this workshop as a sponsor of the 2023 Flash Fiction Challenge, a writing contest for first and second level students enrolled in bilingual secondary schools in the Netherlands. The two winners of this year’s contest will be awarded a seat in our Teen Creative Writing Workshop.
ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL WRITERS' COLLECTIVE
We've been teaching fiction and poetry workshops for adults in Amsterdam since 2011 and formed the International Writers’ Collective in early 2017. We launched our online programme in mid-2017.
We are an audited and accredited educational institution and are listed at CRKBO.nl, the central register for short vocational education in the Netherlands.
Our programme goes beyond the traditional workshop model to offer a structured education in writing.
