Do you enjoy reading comics? Perhaps you’re a young artist or writer looking to share your work and stories with others? Come along to our Comic and Manga Club!You can usually find us in the Teenage library, which is on the first floor, near the front desk We'll have comics and manga to read, as well as art books and drawing materials. We will have some planned activities, but you can also choose to draw quietly nearby. If you want to bring your own comics to read or to talk about then please do! This is not a drawing course or a taught illustration class, it's just a casual afternoon for fans of art, comics, and manga.
This event is intended for people aged 12 to 16 and usually takes place in the Young Adult area on the first floor (entrance floor) of Cambridge Central Library, which is wheelchair accessible. Staff will re-direct you elsewhere if the session had to be moved on a different floor or area of the library. There is an accessible toilet in the Teenage library too. Free drop in, no need to book. All 12 to 16 years old people welcome. Staff supervision is provided exclusively for the listed duration of the session. It is parents/guardians/carers' responsibility to assess the need to accompany and pick up the young adults and/or stay with them during the session.
