Angela Walsh Noble – Art Therapist In-Training
Angela Walsh Noble is an artist, art educator, and student art therapist based in Pemberton, BC. Angela is currently working to complete an Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. Angela strongly believes in the power of art to promote healing and expression, and she does so through a person-centered, culturally sensitive approach. Art therapy provides individuals with the opportunity to explore life-stories, personal problems and potentials through the use of simple art materials. No art skill is required. Angela’s deep commitment to mental health and well-being begins by providing a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment in which to gain confidence to face life’s challenges, to creatively explore, and to heal.
Angela maintains an active artistic practice in her home studio primarily in the forms of painting, drawing and printmaking. Angela holds both a BFAH and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University, and an M.Ed. in Art Education from UBC. With more than 20 years of experience, Angela is a veteran community art educator who maintains an enthusiastic and passionate approach to teaching studio art to a wide range of age groups – from the young in age to the young at heart – in a variety of professional settings including schools, public arts organizations, galleries and museums.
