Teen Adventure Camp 2026

Teen Adventure Camp expands teens adventures beyond Pennypack to climbing mountain tops, kayaking along lakes, geocaching through new forests, hitting their target, soring through the tree tops, meeting new animal and human friends, and much, much more.

All adventures will begin and end at Pennypack. Full-time staff will drive the team in City issued vans. Because of this, space for this camp is extremely limited.

Teens can join one, some, or all adventures.

Ages 13-17
Prices vary per adventure.

We also have a Teen Advisory Council that is during the school year for teens that are interested in environmental leadership. Those teens that demonstrate involvement, interest, and leadership often are hired for summer work through the C2L2 Program. For questions or more information email [email protected].

Dates: Monday, August 3-7, 2025

Ages: Teens 13-17 years

Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Location: Begins & Ends at Pennypack Environmental Center

Lunch: Campers should bring their own lunch, and snacks.

Register on eventbrite, then pay with a card(fees will apply), or choose "Check" pay by check or cash without fees. Payments must be recieved within 5 days of registration. All payments are non-refundable.

NOTE: SPACES ARE RESERVED WHEN WE RECEIVE YOUR CHECK AND YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION LETTER.

Camp Instructors: Classes are taught by park staff and guest educators from other professional organizations.

Tuesday 8/4 | Mini Golf & City Adventures at Franklin Square | $20/Teen

• Putt through some of the city’s most famous icons.

• Visit the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival. 
• Complete a scavenger hunt to win a free carousel ride.

Wednesday 8/5 | Ghost Tour at Fort Mifflin on the Delaware

• SPIRIT OF HISTORY (Plus Canon Firing)| History Lives at Fort Mifflin, but do ghosts live here too?  Take a guided tour through the Fort’s history, learning the spookier aspects of the Fort’s history and the spirits who may inhabit it. Students will also participate in a workshop, where they will be introduced to some of the equipment and techniques used by paranormal investigators.  Come during the day or visit the Fort during twilight hours for a field trip unlike any other.

Friday 8/7 | Climbing Course at  Hellerick Aerial Adventure Park | $50/Teen

• Aerial Adventure Park and Silo Climbing Wall
• 1.5 hours in the Park and can do as much or as little as they want and also have 30 minutes of climbing on the wall.
