Dear potential audience,You have just bumped into the event page of a historic milestone for the University of Dhaka. In the university’s 104-year history, it has experienced a lot of things. From political ups and downs to cultural revolutions to monumental events in the history of Bangladesh. But the one thing it has not seen yet is a TEDx event.
TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that sparks conversations in their communities. TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks and are organized independently under a license granted by TED. More than 3000 events are now held annually. In short, a TEDx event is a day filled with stories, sparks, and ideas that remind us why voices matter and how a single thought can change the world.
Now, for the first time, we are organizing a TEDx event at the University of Dhaka. And big moments deserve an audience, and that audience is YOU!
