TEDxShorelineDrive Kick-off Celebration and Pitch Contest

TEDxShorelineDrive is an independently organized TEDx event representing the vibrant, diverse, and creative voices of Long Beach, California and the South Bay region. Our mission is to amplify local stories, bold ideas, and meaningful conversations that spark change, build community, and inspire action.

TEDxShorelineDrive will serve as a platform for individuals from all walks of life to share ideas worth spreading, with innovation, and led in their communities. From entrepreneurs to educators, activists to artists, this TEDx stage is where Long Beach speaks, one voice and one idea at a time.

Kickoff Celebration and Pitch Contest
Our inaugural Kickoff Celebration and Pitch Contest will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at The Blu Wellness Gallery, right in the heart of Downtown Long Beach. This high-energy community event will mark the official launch of TEDxShorelineDrive and offer aspiring speakers a unique opportunity to share their story ideas for a chance to be selected as a featured speaker on our TEDx stage this Summer.

2026 Theme: Perseverance
This year’s theme, Perseverance, invites us to reflect on the power of pushing through adversity, the lessons we gain from struggle, and the courage it takes to keep going. The pitch contest will highlight voices from across the region who have endured, overcome, and emerged with new insights that can inspire change in others.

From powerful personal stories to innovative social impact ideas, the kickoff event will be a gathering of visionaries, dreamers, and doers coming together to celebrate the spirit of Long Beach and spark momentum for what lies ahead.
