TEDxNortheasternU 2022

It’s one thing to ask “why,” but what does it mean to find the answer? We've cultivated a rich agenda of inspiring, live TEDx talks, each telling the unique stories of how our speakers solved for y.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all of them have features in common.

xLabs are interactive exhibits that enhance our audience's experience at our TEDxNortheasternU flagship events. They serve as an interdisciplinary hub for our attendees to engage with and be inspired by everything the Northeastern community has to offer.

New England Bhangra Club performs a type of North Indian/Pakistani folk style dance celebrating Punjabi culture and art. The club has performed at many venues and national competitions having recently won second place at the New England Bhangra Competition. NEBC is excited to share their heritage and dance at TEDx this year during the intermission.
