Teddy Bears Picnic, at the Hive, Moss Bank park

Join us in an exciting quest to find the lost Teddy Bears of Bolton! Don’t miss out on this extended event, packed with natural exploration, outdoor crafts and stories, and of a tasty picnic. The ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ is an event for the whole family to enjoy, so why not add this heart-warming adventure to your families plans this June.

The event will include:

1. Bear Explorers: We’ll become bear explorers and make nature binoculars to help us in our quest.
2. Teddy Bear Trail: We’ll form a teddy bear rescue party, and head out into the woods where we’ll follow clues in search of Bolton’s lost bears.
3. Build a Bear Den: Children will be shown how to build perfect little shelters for the teds to sleep in.
4. Celebration Picnic: With the teds safely rounded-up, we will settle down for a tasty picnic (supplied within the ticket price).
5. Campfire fun: Finally, the children will be rewarded with the opportunity to toast marshmallows around the campfire. And of course, we’ll have games and stories to keep your little ones entertained.

 General event information

• The activity takes place on very uneven terrain. If your child has a young sibling in a buggy, there will be a place to park your buggies. Please be aware however, that you will need to carry your little one over unsurfaced paths.
• We welcome all ages but the event is aimed at children between the ages of 3-7 years.
• On arrival follow the signage into the Hive.
• All adults and children require tickets excluding children under the age of 18 months do not require tickets.
• Once in the Hive you will need to head to our entrance kiosk where you will be met by one of our team.
• Please ensure you adhere to the ticket time. This ensures the event can start promptly as you won’t miss anything and keep others waiting.

Useful information about the site

• The Hive is located in Moss Bank Park, to the rear of the Café
• The event takes place outdoors so for your own comfort please wear suitable outdoor clothing. Please also be aware that there is uneven terrain.
• The event takes place in the Hive which has a no dog and no smoking and vaping policy.
• There is free parking available in the park
• Catering and toilet facilities are conveniently located.
