TECHNO SNOBS & DJ PUP NIGHTMARE PRESENTS: ANIMAL CONTROLPup play is a form of role play that primarily exists within Queer spaces though is all inclusive, where participants enter a headspace and adopt mannerisms of pups/dogs. While pup play is viewed as sexual, it also has a focus on social and pack dynamics, relaxation, bonding, playful expression, radical self expression and acceptance of self.
“Pups” have been showing up to music events in droves including spaces like EDC or music festivals in America and heavily attend techno spaces like Berghain and other Berlin techno clubs. There’s an added experience to the atmosphere being able to be their pup self and dance while in puppy headspace.
