Techno-Politics Forum 2026 I Europe's Race to Space

The fifth edition of the Techno-Politics Forum turns its gaze to the stars. In this special space edition of ELFs Techno-Politics Forum we will jointly explore whether Europe can become a true sovereign space power or does Europe remain a junior partner to the United States and a passive observer of China's growing ambitions? How do we become competitive and innovate in the space domain? And how does mastery of space reshape energy security, defence, sustainability and democratic governance?

Whether exploring space-based solar energy, resilient satellite infrastructure, AI in orbit, or the regulatory horizon beyond the EU AI and EU Space Act, this forum stimulates critical debate and brings forward ideas on the role of technology in protecting democratic values, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting ethical innovation.
