FREE TECH SUPPORT FOR KUPUNA by Tech Savvy Teens
Need help with your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer? Join Tech Savvy Teens, in partnership with AARP Hawaiʻi and Spectrum, for a free community event designed especially for kūpuna.
Receive up to one hour of FREE one-on-one personalized tech support from trained teen technology mentors. Bring your devices and a list of everything you'd like help with—there's no tech jargon, no pressure, and no question is too small.
Our teens can help with:
* Smartphones, tablets, laptops, and computers
* Video calling with family and friends
* Telehealth appointments
* Apps and device settings
* Passwords and email
* Online safety and scam prevention
* Artificial Intelligence (AI) basics
* Everyday technology questions
Throughout the morning, enjoy short teen-led presentations every 30 minutes covering AI, AI safety, smartphone tips, computer basics, telehealth navigation, video conferencing, and internet safety. Community resource partners will also be available to answer questions and connect you with additional services.
Don't forget to bring your old computers and electronics for our FREE drive-through e-recycling, giving you an easy and responsible way to recycle unwanted technology.
Since launching in 2022, Tech Savvy Teens has provided more than 3,000 volunteer hours while helping over 2,500 kūpuna across Hawaiʻi build confidence with technology. This event is part of a youth-led workforce initiative where local teens develop real-world technology, customer service, and leadership skills by serving their communities.
Whether you're coming for tech help, to recycle old electronics, or simply to learn something new, you'll leave with greater confidence and meaningful connections across generations.
