About this Event
Welcome to the new Tech Ridge Tech Lunch. Every month on the First Friday we will still have food and we will still have a special guest but we are dumping the classroom and the stuffy chairs for a "reception" style event where smart people come to meet other smart people and make friends.
Our special guest will be , co-founder and CEO of . We will start with an introduction to our sponsor, then move to Hunter for 10 minutes of intro and Q&A, and then on to the intros. We will have everyone in the building give a quick intro of themselves and then spend the rest of the hour talking and visiting with one another.

About
Hunter Manz, a former Dixie State University student, along with co-founder Zachary Manweiler, established Eden Technologies Inc. in April 2020, aiming to tackle the high costs and inefficiencies plaguing industrial desalination plants. By 2021, with just a prototype's schematics, they secured a $100,000 pre-seed investment from local backers. This funding enabled the development of their initial model: a reverse osmosis centrifuge, designed as a smaller proof of concept before scaling up to the final version intended for commercial use in industrial desalination plants.
About
Eden Technologies is working to address critical issues within the desalination space with novel reverse-osmosis (RO) technology.
Its primary goals are to reduce the negative externalities often associated with municipal desalination and to improve system-inefficiencies. The company has developed its proprietary RO technology to append existing desalination plant and RO-system waste-streams. Its team seeks to further concentrate a waste-stream so that a plant’s fresh-water production will be increased and the waste-stream itself will be more manageable and, in some instances, harvestable or repurposable.
Eden Tech believes that turning these waste-streams into a fully manageable and mineable resource will turn the sea into a solution for not only the planet’s growing water concerns but our civilization's demand for precious elements.
