susikūręs margas multi-instrumentalistų kolektyvas, žaibišku greičiu įsitvirtinęs
Nyderlandų underground scenoje kaip vienas norimiausių muzikos kolektyvų. Teca,
įkvėpta Lotynų Amerikos žanro cumbia, serviruoja savo versiją ir vadina ją shroombia.
Pilna šmaikščių ir nenuspėjamų ingredientų, jų muzika užkaitina temperatūrą iki “negaliu-

Grupė idėjų sėmėsi iš eksperimentinės elektroninės muzikos, džiazo, performatyvaus roko, senesnio pankroko ir naujų pankroko iteracijų. Bendruoju sutarimu pasirinktas minimalistinis aranžuotės stilius, išlaikant nuolatinę garsinę ataką. Balsas, darniai susijęs su siurrealistiniais trumpais siužetais dainų tekstuose, maištauja prieš šicizo aplinkos šiurkštumą. Kasdieniai duslūs pasikartojantys garsai, pramoninis kraštovaizdis ir upių susitikimas, betonas ir lietus, elektros stulpai, troleibusų dundesys – visa tai prasiskverbia į pasąmonę. Beveik folklorą primenantis pasikartojantis buldozeris akimirksniu sukuria ne tokio tolimo miško, dalgių ir arklių įspūdį, tačiau betoninė ranka pakartotinai daužo elektrinį takelį.

Based between Amsterdam and Rotterdam, The Ensemble of Cultural Approximation (TECA) is a fresh musical collective rapidly establishing itself in the Dutch underground scene. TECA delivers an authentic sound that they have coined as “Shroombia”, a high-
energy blend heavily inspired by various connotations of Latin American musical idioms, reinterpreted with a snappy, dreamy, and sometimes raw contemporary edge. Since their
formation one year ago, TECA has built a reputation for electrifying live shows, performing at venues such as Paradiso, WORM, and Garage Noord, as well as Landjuweel and BUT film festival. With a successful tour in Sicily and their debut EP “Abedè” already under their belt, the band is currently working on their first album.

The group drew ideas from experimental electronic music, jazz, performative rock, older punk and new iterations of punk.
A minimal arrangement was chosen by mutual decision, maintaining a constant barrage of sonic attack. The voice which is coherent with surreal short plots in the lyrics rebels against the grit of the shcizo surroundings. Daily accords of choking repetitive sounds, industrial landscape and meeting of rivers, concrete and rain, electric poles, trolleibus drones, all seeping into the unconscious. Almost folklore-esque repetitive bulldozer gives a blink of an eye impression for a not so distant wood, scythes and horses past, but a concrete arm repetedly hammers down the electric “
