A tragicomedy that explores the pursuit of happiness; the psychedelic; rock bottom; love, and loss, A Cosmic Ray of Sunshine is a tour de force solo show weaving elements of comedy, spoken word, and beautiful storytelling that will bring you to tears, make you laugh out loud, and leave you gasping from the journey. Ike Torres bares his secrets for all to see with unwavering vulnerability in this updated version of his popular show, A Cosmic Ray of Sunshine, which played to sold out houses in 2022.

What happens when the elephant in the room refuses to be ignored? Torres takes audiences on a wild and touching journey in this funny yet tragic exploration of a self-saboteur navigating chaotic circumstances. With his unwavering wit, comedic timing, and physicality, along with poetic reverberance, Torres captivates with his ability to bring stories to vivid life.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT
Ike Torres is a multi-disciplinary entertainer with the ability to take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Blending storytelling, comedy and spoken word into live theatre, his work explores the many shades of humanity. Ike has performed in venues and college campuses across the country, and has toured internationally.

TICKETS
Online ticket sales end one hour before curtain time. Tickets may be available for purchase at the door, pending availability. Tickets at the door are $25, CASH ONLY.

California Stage in Sacramento is wheelchair accessible. Gender neutral restrooms available. Free street parking on 25th Street and free gravel lot on R Street. Check street signs for parking restrictions.

Light Rail stops one block away from theatre. | Bikes can be locked in courtyard, at your own risk.
