Teapot Returns To Atlanta!!!
About this Event
Please join me for a limited run, return engagement of Teapot for Atlanta audiences for a few purposes.
- I'm preparing to take the show to the Green Bay Fringe Festival in July and want to test out new material as it has evolved since Atlanta Fringe last year.
- I want to invite new people who've never seen the show before in conjunction with a new Teapot-related professional development workshop I'm testing on the Saturday afternoon between performances.
- I want to thank those of you who have been part of this journey all along.
- It is a little bit of a fundraiser as well for both my team and the space I'm sharing on Edgewood Avenue (part of the former Café 458, which you may remember I loved supporting through the Atlanta Center for Self-Sufficiency).

Show Description
Storyteller Shannon M. Turner graduates in 1997 from a liberal arts college with an English degree and no plans for the future.
As the millennium approaches, she wanders aimlessly through low-wage jobs, trying to find her sense of purpose, garnering small truths about herself and the working world. Parallels between twenty-five years ago and today are poignant, when global freakout over Y2K and a presidential impeachment are in the background of everyday people just trying to get by.
Teapot is not just a one-person show. It also involves an entire platform of workshops and public dialog events about purpose, power, passion, and possibility.
Performances include audience interaction from the liminal space of the lobby, all the way to the final moments of the show.
Because, what we need right now is to rebuild and reconnect…one story at a time.
