Come out and help support a Veteran organization that really cares!
Team River Runner is a national nonprofit that uses kayaking, paddle sports, and outdoor adventure as a way to help veterans, active-duty service members, and their families build community, improve wellness, and find new challenges. The organization started in 2004 and now has chapters across the United States.
The national organization's mission is:
"To provide all veterans and their families an opportunity to find health, healing, community purpose, and new challenges through adventure and adaptive paddle sports."
If you're a veteran interested in joining, the program is generally free for veterans and service members, with equipment, instruction, and safety gear provided through the organization and its supporters.
Music is graciously being provided by Kevin Avery and after we will have karaoke.
Food is being done by Das Byrd Nest.
$10 admission
