Vertical Skill Camp - Head Up is designed for beginner to intermediate flyers who want to progress their vertical / freefly skills in a small group setting. This camp is also recommended for anyone who wants to progress their dynamic flying skills - If you want to HU track or transition from an HD angle/track to HU, then you need to have good vertical skills!
Beginner groups will be working on the fundamentals of vertical formation flying (what is level, slot, dock?) including different ways to exit the aircraft HU, slow and fast fall rates, high fives and how to approach and break off from a formation. Intermediate groups will be working on diving/floating exits, 360 turns, carving, docking or breaking in, and VFS / sequential style dive flows.
**Inter - adv vertical flyers we have an intro to big-way and intro to sequential camps the same weekend. Please read the individual event requirements to see if you are ready to attend.
Minimum requirements:
150 skydives
Must be able to hold and fly HU the entire skydive
Must be on level within 15ft of the base/leader, without excessive movement
Must be able to fly safely in a group of 4 (3, plus coach)
Must be able to break off safely onto back and track away from centre of the formation
*If you do not yet meet these minimum requirements please get in touch to organize 1:1 coaching as this is the best way to learn good habits from the start.
Camp Format:
- 1 day camp (Sun 2nd August)
- Skydive Elsinore
- Must commit to 6 jumps (weather permitting)
- Group sizes are 3 participants plus coach
- 40 minute calls giving people time to pack, watch video of jump, brief the next jump
- The day will start with a 30 minute seminar/briefing on safety considerations before jumping starts.
Cost and registration:
- Registration is $225
- Registration does not include your jump tickets

**If you do not yet meet the minimum requirements but want to get involved, please get in touch via email to organize 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 coaching separately to this event. We have regular coaches available to get you where you need to be to join us next time
