Team DBHIDS Out of the Darkness Walk 2022

DBHIDS' Division of CMO is proud to sponsor the Out of the Darkness Walk. Please register and join Team DBHIDS for this amazing event! Our own Dr. Shoyinka will be a guest speaker at this year’s walk, DBHIdS will have its own resource table, and we will be providing staff for the Care Tent for the event.

We will be participating in the walk and carrying a DBHIDS banner to represent our organization and involvement.

All are welcome to register and all family and friends are invited to join as well.

Don’t forget to add your t-shirt sizes for all participants being registered, as we will be receiving t-shirts as far as supplies last.

Out of the Darkness Walk is a yearly event hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to raise awareness and to fundraise for suicide prevention programs. The Philly Out of the Darkness Walk is run by the Greater Philadelphia chapter of AFSP and occurs annually in October at the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps.

Day of the event, participants can arrive as early as they would like but we will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the DBHIdS resource table to begin the walk together promptly at 900 a.m.

Is there a registration fee? No, there is no registration fee to participate.

If I raise enough money, will my whole team get a shirt? Please include your t-shirt size when you register here.

How do I make an offline donation? To send a donation by check, please complete this form and send it with your check to the address provided.

Is there a fundraising minimum? No, but we strongly encourage each participant to set a $150 fundraising goal to help support AFSP's work to stop suicide and receive the official walk t-shirt!

Can I register at the Walk? Yes! You can register in-person at the Walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until Dec. 31.

Can I bring my dog? Yes!  Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the Walk.
