About this Event

The kettle's on and the candles are lit. Pull up a chair for a proper afternoon of tea, candles and festive bakes.

Your booking is a private, relaxed session just for you and your guests. Other guests may join on some dates, but this isn't guaranteed, so we recommend booking with friends or family.

What you will do 🕯️

• Take home your own teacup and saucer to turn into a candle
• Turn it into a candle scented with something wintry: cinnamon and orange, gingerbread, fir and cedar, or vanilla snow
• Finish it with dried orange, a cinnamon stick or a sprig of greenery
• Enjoy a pastry or brownie from halal certified suppliers with your hot drink, like a proper afternoon tea

Our tables are set for a proper afternoon tea, so it is an easy one for a work social, a Christmas catch up or a gift for someone who is impossible to buy for. You will go home with a teacup candle like no other, ready to give, or keep.

• Your own teacup and saucer to keep, filled with a scented soy wax candle
• Natural winter decorations for your candle
• One tea, coffee or hot chocolate and one pastry or brownie per guest, afternoon tea style
• Festive mocktails are available at £5pp
• You are welcome to bring your own welcome drink

Good to know 💛

• Duration: 2 hours
• Candles need 24 hours to set before lighting
• Age policy: 14 and over are welcome to attend independently. Under 14 are welcome with a parent or responsible adult.
• This is an alcohol-free and halal friendly event.
• Groups of up to 8 can book at our Headingley studio, and larger groups at our Shadwell venue.
• Refunds are available automatically up to 7 days before your session. After that, tickets are non-refundable but transferable.

IMPORTANT: The studio is on the top floor and is not accessible for people with disabilities. There is no step free access. Please book at your own responsibility.

How to find us 📍

The studio is above the Caffeine Addict cafe. Enter through the Caffeine Addict cafe entrance and head to the back of the cafe where the WC is, then follow the signs for the art studio. It is up the staircase on the top floor.
