Join us for a rare opportunity to hear Anishinabe teachings directly from Joseph Davis and Danielle Leblanc. They'll be traveling from their home on the US-Canadian border in northern most Maine to share with us how the Anishinabe People were gifted a system or framework to guide their lives in a good way! This Clan System brings structure and meaning into their lives spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. After this teaching, Joseph and Danielle will also share a blessing with the Sacred Pipe.
Danielle Leblanc is a first generation Canadian-American whose family ancestry include Abenaki, Etchemin, Mi’kmaq, and French-Canadian heritage. She follows her families’ Native Spirituality of Quebec Innu and Algonquian communities. She is the designated “water keeper” in the Mide lodges in Quebec.
Joseph Davis is of Native American Cherokee and African American descent. He follows the traditional ways of his Cherokee ancestors. His Great-Uncle was a Traditional Herbal Medicine Healer. Joseph is a recognized as an Elder, a Traditional Ceremonial Leader, a Sun Dancer and is also a recognized teacher by his Medicine Society.
