About this Event
Teaching Climate Change in K-12 ELA and Social Studies
Are you an ELA or history teacher eager to bring climate change into your classroom in a meaningful way? Join us for a hands-on, day-long workshop exploring and sharing approaches to teaching climate change in K-12 settings. Together, we’ll:
🌿 Dive into high-quality resources for climate education
📚 Explore interdisciplinary approaches that combine climate science and climate fiction
🔬 Engage in Q&A with an MIT environmental scientist to unpack key climate concepts
🗣️ Discuss how to support students in creating their own climate stories, grounded in their local communities and personal experiences.
This event is the culmination of Kujali International's work on an MASS Humanities grant—don’t miss this opportunity to collaborate, learn, and leave with fresh ideas for your teaching!
