The Missouri State Museum is partnering with Teaching American History to host three seminars in 2024 and early 2025. These free daylong seminars connect scholars with local educators on a wide array of topics. Seminars are free, but registration is required via this link https://go.teachingamericanhistory.org/l/556702/2023-11-20/qs3qv1What made the 1920s "roar?" We know about flappers, music, and prohibition but what did this mean for politics, policy, the economy, and American society? Study these questions and multiple perspectives through a collection of original documents. Come be a part of this intriguing conversation.
This program will be conducted as a conversation utilizing primary source documents as the only readings, and with the Professor facilitating the conversation, instead of lecturing or presenting.
John Moser will be the discussion leader for this seminar.
All attendees of this free professional development will receive lunch, a letter of attendance, and paper and digital copies of the reader. Registrants are highly encouraged to read the documents and come with questions.
This seminar will be held at the DNR building at 1730 E. Elm St., Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.
