Teaching Africa Day 2025

Teaching Africa Day 2025 focuses on "Dancing the Message: African Dance as a Language of the Continent and the Diaspora."

Now in its 10th year, Teaching Africa Day provides a platform for educators, families, and the DMV community to showcase books, films, games, programs, and other resources on Africa and its rich and vibrant heritage in one place.

Through a panel discussion, performances and dance workshops, an educational resource marketplace, and artmaking workshops, Teaching Africa Day offers diverse narratives to teach, engage, and increase students’ appreciation for the arts of Africa.
