Teacher B.A.E Inc's 3rd Annual Back to School Self-Care Con

In the words of the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden, "teaching is not a job, it's a lifestyle, it permeates your whole life." According to recent statistics, approximately 46% of teachers report experiencing high stress daily throughout the school year (Kim & Madigan, 2021). Award-winning educator Applemania Bradford, Ed.S, founded Teacher B.A.E (Balanced and Educated) in 2019 to promote self-care for teachers, emphasizing that being healthy and whole is crucial for delivering quality education. The initiative aims to unify teachers, raise awareness about self-care, and provide strategies for incorporating it into their lives, believing that inspiring young minds starts with achieving a wholesome balance.

Teacher B.A.E Inc., is a federally certified 501(c)3 nonprofit organization for educator professionals. Its mission is to unify teachers, empower communities, and promote self-care practices among educators. Utilizing a balance and educated approach and with the camaraderie of fellow educators, Applemania has been fortunate to manifest Teacher B.A.E’s vision to “empower beyond the classroom.”

We are delighted to announce Teacher B.A.E's 3rd annual Back-to-School Self-Care Con for educators, scheduled for September 27, 2025, in Stonecrest, Georgia. At the inagural event, Mayor Reynolds recognized Applemania as a catalyst for change and designated a Self-Care Con Day in Stonecrest in 2023. Throughout history, preparations for back-to-school events have predominantly focused on students. However, just as students require support, it is equally essential for educators to be rejuvenated and inspired.

The primary aim of our Back-to-School Self-Care Con is to provide guidance and motivate participants to embrace self-care without guilt. Educators should be able to indulge in these practices without reservation. Our objective is to equip teachers for a successful 2025-2026 academic year and enlighten them on achieving a harmonious balance between work, home, and social life. It is common to struggle with allocating time for self-care, leading to burnout and stress, particularly at the start of the school year. The Back-to-School Self-Care Con offers a comprehensive one-day event encompassing awareness, education, networking opportunities, and top-tier self-care services for teachers to recharge and revitalize. This event aims to foster camaraderie among teachers, educators, and professionals dedicated to empowering individuals beyond the confines of the classroom.
