In this Beginning Basketry class we will make 2 baskets that will be useful for teatime or when you want to make any occasion special. The Tea Tote is woven on a wooden handle and is a combination of flat and flat oval reed. The Muffin Basket is the perfect size for serving scones, muffins, cookies or any other teatime goodie. Woven without a handle it is a project that will allow you to personalize the basket by using color and different size reed. Time allowing, we will also create a custom liner for your basket. We will talk about materials, preparation, and construction of baskets.This will be a busy day, but both projects can be completed in one day.
Please bring water bucket, old towel, sturdy spring type clothes pins, ruler, small straight edge screwdriver, pencil, sense of fun and humor.
