Making tea light holders are a wonderful way to explore kiln formed glass and introduces the concept of draping. The final outcome can be used as a tealight holder or a vase. While it looks complicated this is an easy technique open to both beginners and those wanting to expand on their kiln formed glass skills.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
· select, safely cut and shape glass,
· how to use arrange of glass tools including a glass cutter,
· how to select and prep a mould suitable for draping, and
· a brief introduction to the magic of a glass kiln.
Your artwork will be loaded into the kiln at the end of the session and will be ready for collection on the following week.
