About this Event
A brewer at Right Proper, Josh Chapman has a magnificent magnolia tree growing in his backyard that he and his family call Mom-Mom. He pays homage to Mom-Mom with Steel Magnolias, a Tart Table Beer brewed with new growth magnolia leaves in the mash and dry-blossomed with magnolia blossoms.
To celebrate the release of Steel Magnolias, we’ve invited our friends from Cultivate the City and Plant It Print It! for an afternoon of Brewing with Botanicals and Pop Up Plant Sale. CTC will host a tea blending workshop from 2-3 pm, and you can browse and buy plants while sipping on beers throughout the afternoon.
About the Tea Blending Workshop
Cultivate the City has been busy all season growing herbs in our gardens around DC. Come enjoy our spoils with us by learning how to make your own custom tea blend with our dried herbs. You'll get to experience a variety of herbal ingredients including chamomile, mint, lavender, blue butterfly pea flower, lemongrass and so much more! The ticket prices includes the class as well as any herbs you use for your personal blend to take home with you. We will also discuss different herbs you can easily grow in your home garden to make your next brew!
Beer and plants sold separately.
