About this Event
Parenting through the early years can feel overwhelming — especially when your child develops a fever for the first time or experiences a febrile fit. This intimate Tea & Talk session is designed to equip parents with practical knowledge, reassurance, and confidence in handling common childhood fever situations.
Hosted by Ssavoury in collaboration with Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong, this session features a sharing by Consultant Pediatrician, Dr. Cheok Sui Ann, focusing on understanding fever, managing fever at home, and recognising febrile fits in young children.
Parents will gain practical insights into:
- What is considered a normal vs concerning fever
- Common causes of fever in infants and toddlers
- Safe ways to manage fever at home
- What febrile fits are and why they happen
- What to do (and avoid doing) during a febrile fit
- When medical attention is necessary
- How to stay calm and prepared during emergencies
This session is specially curated for parents with children aged 6 months to 2 years old, though all caregivers are welcome.
To ensure parents can enjoy the session comfortably, kids are welcome to attend. A quiet activity corner with simple activities will also be available, assisted by assistant teachers to help keep little ones engaged throughout the event.
Light refreshments will be provided as guests connect with fellow parents in a warm and cosy environment.
Seats are limited to maintain an intimate and interactive experience.
