Veiled in a Golden Hue explores consumerism through the personal lens of family experience. In this exhibition, artist Sherry Quiambao reflects on her mother’s migration from the Philippines to Australia, contemplating personal aspirations within the broader context of societal pressures. Using photography and video, it invites consideration of the meaning of fulfilment, and the role that possessions play in forming our identities. It features a video artwork produced in collaboration with artist and choreographer Emma Fishwick, filmmaker Apurva Gupta, with performer Keana Mislang and sound composition by Tom Lee.
Exhibition continues through to 22 September.
