Tchaikovsky & Rachmaninoff. Strings & Dreams – A Valentine’s Concert in Dubai

Celebrate the Valentine’s season with a romantic journey through classical masterpieces at Strings & Dreams – Virtuoso Sunday Series.

The evening begins with Rachmaninoff’s unfinished string quartets and his tender Vocalise — early works that reveal the emotional heart of his genius. 

In the second half, enjoy Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet suites from Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, followed by his lyrical String Quartet No. 1 in D major, featuring the timeless Andante cantabile. The night concludes with Borodin’s dreamy Nocturne, the perfect ending to a heartfelt evening.

Performed by the Baldaquin Ensemble, a world-class string quartet featuring internationally acclaimed musicians: cellist Petr Gladysh, violist Anna Larionova-Gladysh, violinist Sergei Belozertsev, and violinist Daria Kuchenova, all laureates of prestigious competitions across Italy, Australia, and beyond.

Bringing a contemporary touch, Dubai-based artist Alena Lavdovskaya unveils exclusive visual artworks inspired by the emotional landscape of the series. Known for her elegant body sketches and collaborations with luxury brands, Alena’s pieces will be on display and available for purchase at Dubai Opera.
