About this Event

Most people associate trading card games with decks and rules, but did you know there's more to them that meets the eye? They're systems of resources, interaction, worldbuilding, scarcity, play, and collectability.
Join PHD game designer Sam Shields across four hands-on sessions, where participants will learn how TCGs work as games, why cards become desirable, how to prototype their own card systems, and how card games move between physical, digital, open-source, and hybrid formats.
Supplies will br provided, just bring a creative and curious mind!
