Please take note of the location for this dance, it's not at the normal 4th Friday spot. And yes, it's the Old Murphey School on Murphy Road! Sometime after 1960, the “e” in Murphey was dropped so that the school was commonly referred to as the “Murphy School.” Thus, the spelling of “Murphy School Road” differs from the historic name. If you're new to contra dancing, or need a refresher, arrive by 7:15 so you can check in and be ready for the lesson that starts at 7:30.

Wear comfortable soft-soled shoes and cool, comfortable clothes. No partner expected, and masks are fine.
Our suggested sliding scale for admission is $10 - $30, and TCD needs an average of $20 per dancer to break even. No one is turned away for lack of funds, pay an amount that feels good to you. We accept cash or credit card.
