TCB April Luncheon 2026

The Tulsa Christian Businessmen (TCB) is having their monthly luncheon on: Tuesday April 21st, 2026

Doors and buffet open at 11:30 AM at Greater Tulsa Association Of Realtors (Venue 918) located at 11505 E 43rd St, Tulsa, OK 74146.

This month our keynote speaker is Ted Owens, KU Basketball Coach Legend & OK Sports Hall of Fame Inductee.

Coach Ted Owens grew up pulling cotton in Hollis, Oklahoma during the Great Depression. He played basketball for Oklahoma University where he achieved a Master's Degree. He's best known as head coach for the KU Jayhawks for 19 seasons winning 348 games, six Big Eight titles, two Final Fours, and the 1978 National Coach of the Year award. He coached professional basketball in Tel-Aviv, coached at Oral Roberts University and at Metro High School.

After coaching, he spent a decade as an investment adviser at First Capital Management in Tulsa. Ted lives in Tulsa with his wife Michelle, their kids and grandkids. Ted's son Teddy is head basketball coach at Holland Hall.

Ted has served with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for over 60 years. Ted's been twice-inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and a Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also been inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.

In 1958 in his first year coaching at Cameron University, he took his Aggies basketball team to the national championship semi-finals, and in the only year of coaching baseball in his career, won the NJCAA National Championship.
