TC Jazz Fest: Central Jazz Band and Women in Jazz!

The St. Paul Central High School Jazz Band and Women in Jazz Ensemble are honored to perform at the 2026 Twin Cities Jazz Festival!
Our performance on Friday 6/19 will include two new works for jazz band:
Resurgence by Callum Schultz
Callum is a 2026 graduate of Central and will attend Berklee School of Music in Boston next year.
Pig's Eye Landing by Jack Schabert.
Pig's Eye Landing was commissioned by the Central Jazz Band and was premiered May 6, 2026.
Central's program will also include works by Elllington, Mingus, Mobley, Nestico, and Igmar Thomas.
Central's Women in Jazz Ensemble will also be performing. The 2025-2026 Central Women in Jazz Ensemble is led by students Lula Eian and Zorielys Vega-Ramos. Special thanks to advisor Beth Varela ‘00 for her continued support and leadership!
