TC & The Groove Family are a 10-piece collective whose music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the community that music can provide for everyone. Driven by drummer Tim Cook (TC) and fronted by Sheffield wordsmith Franz Von, their live shows are powerful and dynamic, creating moments of both euphoria and stillness to keep audiences on their toes. Originally formed in Leeds, their sound reflects the diverse musical and cultural backgrounds at the core of the project, with songs exploring grooves and genres including afrobeat, broken beat, jungle, jazz and grime. Building on the success of early singles, debut album 'First Home' and follow-up EP ‘WeHave Each Other’ found support from tastemakers including Jamz Supernova, Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6. They’ve also had strong backing from BBCIntroducing and Jazz FM, being hand-picked to play the BBC Introducing stage at Latitude 2024. The band have supported the likes of K.O.G, Nubiyan Twist and YussefDayes en route to becoming one of the most sought-after live acts on the UK jazz circuit. Notable festival performances include Glastonbury, We Out Here, Greenman, Boomtown and WOMAD, and the group have built a steady fanbase, selling out venues including London’s iconic Jazz Café and Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club
