REQUIREMENTS:
-Horses need to have had or able to have a smooth O or D ring snaffle in their mouth
-Horses need to have had or able to wear a western saddle or surcingle
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
-surcingle OR western saddle & saddle pad
-O or D ring snaffle on a headstall
-two lunge lines
While older horses are more than welcome, this clinic is geared towards the upcoming two and three year old futurity horses who will be started under saddle soon. This will be helping them understand bit pressure with steering, stopping, and backing. Ground driving is a very beneficial thing that you can do before getting on a horses back to help them learn and understand what the pressure of the bit means without having the newness of a rider on their back.
