🇲🇰31.5.26/ 20h/ 10€🇲🇰Despite its small population, NorthMacedonia boasts one of the most productive music scenes in the Balkans and a rich jazz tradition, and Taxi Consilium is one of its most outstanding contemporary representatives. Composed of Filip Bukrshliev on guitar, Blagojche Tomevski on clarinet, Andrea Mircheska on bass, and Dragan Teodosiev on drums, and self-stylized as "nocturnal jazz", the band draws inspiration from taxi drivers who witness every ordinary and extraordinary detail of after-midnight Skopje, and describe their music as "free jazz heard through a broken taxi window at 3:17 AM."
Having released three albums since 2021, the group's work has been featured on the Free Jazz Blog and in Bandcamp's 'best jazz albums of the month' selection, and they have given numerous concerts in NorthMacedonia and abroad. The 'Best Young Jazz Musician of the Year' award, given annually to a musician by the Skopje Jazz Festival, was awarded to members of Taxi Consilium in 2019, 2021, and 2023.
