Completely updated to most recent tax law! New additions (and subtractions). What are adjustments, versus deductions, versus tax credits -- their differences and financial impact. Permissible deductions for residences, second homes, investment, income and business properties. Gain better understanding of tax shelters - how they work, and who benefits? Calculate depreciation and other allowable write-offs. Determine "after-tax" cash flows available to most investors. Learn the four tax classes of real estate -- their respective depreciation and "capital gains" tax treatment; ways to minimize or defer them - including installment sales and 1031 exchanges.
