About this Event
Every single business transaction has a tax consequence. Tax laws are often complicated and navigating these rules can be daunting for small business owners, especially for creative entrepreneurs without a business background. This workshop will help provide individuals with some tax basics on federal income taxation to help them save money on taxes and avoid tax surprises at year end. Topics will include how the government is your (uninvited) business partner, an overview of the income tax rules for business income and expenses, timing of receipts and expenditures to reduce tax bills, and special deductions that are applicable to small business owners.
